DC VOLTAGE METER
This DC voltage meter is scaled 0-1500vDC, in 100
volt increments, and will provide a 2/3 full scale deflection
when applied across 1000vDC. The maximum current flow through
the instrument at 1000vDC is 0.05 milliampers. The operators
need not concern themselves with polarity, as the unit is
not sensitive in that regard. This is a lightweight, hand
held meter.
The Model 50100-G-02 may be used to determine whether the
third rail of a transit system is energized. Several of these
units have been purchased by the Maryland Department of Transportation
and the Siemens Corporation in Puerto Rico.
This hand held unit consists of a rugged housing and
two probes connected by an eight-foot series lead. This
lead is designed for field use. A sturdy, padded carrying
case is included. This unit can be made hot stick adaptable
upon request.
